Publix-anchored shopping center with more retail, restaurants coming soon to Nolensville
A new Publix-anchored shopping center is in the works for Nolensville, officials have announced.
The CBRE Group, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is leading the project and has secured a $38.55M in construction financing to make it possible.
Led by Richard Henry, Mike Ryan, Brian Linnihan and Taylor Crowder of CBRE, the new development will be known as Village Green. It will be built 18 miles south of downtown Nashville, the group said, noting that the new shopping center will feature 9 buildings, anchored by the new Publix.
“Despite the incredible growth Nolensville has experienced over the last decade, there has been limited grocery store construction with no competitive grocers in a 3-mile radius,” said Henry, a senior vice president at CBRE.
Last month, Nolensville’s Board of Commissioners took steps to attract more grocers.
They adopted a resolution supporting a referendum for wine in grocery stores on the Nov. 5 ballot. While wine currently isn’t sold in grocery stores such as Publix, the referendum, if passed by the town’s voters, would change that. Residents are currently busy collecting the required signatures needed to get the measure added to the ballot.
In the meantime, plans are moving forward on the new development, with Henry projecting that it will be “a big success.”
In addition to Publix, five national and regional tenants have already signed leases for the development, including Heartland Dental, Club Pilates, Jersey Mike’s, Waxing the City, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa and Physicians Urgent Care, officials have said.
The new shopping center will be built across the road from the recently announced Nolensville Town Square mixed-use development and is set to open Summer 2025.
