Around 11:15, emergency crews were called out to a crash northwest of Marmora, where a vehicle slammed into a hydro pole.
Hydro One Media Spokeswoman Tiziana Baccega-Rosa tells Quinte News that the pole carried multiple power lines.
About nine thousand businesses, farms, and homes lost power.
