Parts of Hwy. 103 closed for emergency repairs
The province says a stretch of highway in the Halifax area will be closed Friday afternoon as a local provider deals with an internet outage.
Officials say Highway 103 is closed between exit 2b and exit 3 for emergency repairs to telecommunications lines.
Work is expected to be completed by late Friday afternoon.
This comes as Eastlink says some customers in the western Halifax and St. Margarets Bay area are without service as a result of damage to its network caused by local road construction in the area
“This is a big repair, which will take all day, if not longer,” Eastlink wrote on X. “We will provide an update as soon as we have a better sense of the extent of damage.”
