Thiruvananthapuram: Seeking proper investigation in the case in which trainee girls were sexually abused by KCA cricket coach M Manu, parents of the victims have moved court. In the petition filed in Kerala High Court on Friday, the parents have expressed their dissatisfaction over the ongoing investigation by the police and demand a higher level investigation.

In the petition, the parents have asked the court to hand over the case to the Crime Branch and also asked the court to involve cyber cell and cyberdome to retrieve the devices used to shoot the videos of girls by Manu. They have alleged that the people responsible had tried to cover up earlier allegations in connection with sexual abuse against Manu.

Parents have said that a proper investigation should take place so that those who had helped Manu also should be brought before the law. It is also alleged that Manu had drugged the trainees before subjecting them to sexual abuse. The use of drugs by the coach also should be investigated, the parents said in their petition.
