Owen Sound Police say a man is facing charges following a knife attack in the city.
Police say on June 22 around 10:15 p.m., an Owen Sound man was attacked with a knife in the 300 block of 8th Street East.
Police later received a call for service around two hours following the attack when the victim was found suffering from multiple cuts to his body.
The victim was brought to Brightshores Health System in Owen Sound, where police say he was treated for his injuries and released a short time later.
As a result of an investigation, police say the 36-year-old accused from Owen Sound was arrested on June 25 and has remained in custody since.
The accused is facing assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and two counts of failing to comply with probation.
“It has been determined that the victim and the accused are known to one another, and the incident is related to a previous dispute,” says police.
