‘One last chance to shine’: 2024 SJ County All-Star High School basketball scores, rosters

Some of the top boys and girls high school hoopers gathered in San Joaquin Delta College’s Blanchard Gym to compete in the annual San Joaquin County Class of 2024 All-Star Game.

“We just got new floors at the end of spring semester and it was just perfect timing for when we host this All-Star game,” said Eddie Hernandez, San Joaquin Delta College’s men’s basketball associate head coach. “It’s about the kids and the parents as some of these kids may be playing their last game. So it’s good to give them one last chance to shine.”

Along with being the first to play on the gym’s new floor, the all-stars dawned the Mustangs white and gold, and black and gold jerseys in a battle between the Black and White teams. These games pitted teammates against each other for the first time and players from all over the 209 and beyond.

The girls’ game went to the White team with it having its way for a 56-37 final score. Leading them offensively and vocally on the court was Kimball’s Sierra Tulliau who ended the game with a game-high 17 points and 11 rebounds. When her team needed a board, a bucket or some energy, she was the go-to.

“I put in a lot of work but I started basketball late so I feel really blessed to be chosen for this game,” Tulliau said. “I was trying to keep the energy up, keep the team up and just trying to be loud so everybody on the court could hear me. I feel like I did good.”

The boys’ game was more of a nail-bitter with both teams exchanging buckets at a rapid pace. By halftime, the game was all knotted up 48-48 but the second half would begin to sway in the White team’s favor. Leading it was Venture Academy guard Mario Williams Jr. who dropped a game-high 30 points and eight boards to help the White team to a 96-82 dub.

“It felt great to play in my last high school game especially playing with my teammates for one last time,” Williams said. “Even though one of my teammates was on the other team, to share the court with my guys one more time before we all go our separate ways was a blessing honestly.”

Here are the full rosters of the SJ County senior boys and girls basketball players who competed in Delta College’s 2024 SJ County All-Star Basketball games.
