Okotoks Chamber of Commerce golf tourney looking to raise funds for scholarships
The Okotoks Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the High River and Diamond Valley Chambers are ready for their annual golf tournament.
It’s being held at the Highwood Golf Course in High River next Tuesday June 11, and they still have room to sign up either as a golfer or a sponsor.
Dawn LeMaistre, Executive Director of the Okotoks Chamber says it’s an affordable way to network, fundraise, and help give back.
“You know it’s not about us making money on it, it’s about getting the business community together to collaborate and spend some time networking. So, we keep our costs as low as we can. That includes lunch and dinner, golf, and your cart.”
The prices are low too with a round of 18 only costing $150, a round of 9 is $110 or if you would like to only attend the dinner it’s $45.
There are still hole and green sponsorships available for any local businesses that would like to support the cause.
And the Chamber uses it as a fundraiser to give back to local high school students.
“And again, most of our games and activities [on the course] we’re raising funds for scholarships for the grade 12 students at all the local schools. So, supporting Oilfields, Highwood, Notre Dame, HTA, and the Composite in Okotoks.”
Registration is at 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch and a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.
