Now hiring hundreds of people for a variety of seasonal jobs

Our summer meter reading program typically runs from the end of April to the beginning of September and we need around 20 dedicated, diligent, and goal-oriented people to put it on.

As a Seasonal Meter Reader, you’ll be going door to door checking water meters. Consider applying if you have some domestic plumbing knowledge and customer service experience. A minimum one-year post-secondary education is required. Applications will be accepted through our careers page until February 21.

Office support

In the Summer Student Clerical/Administrative role, you’d be providing general office work and administrative support in areas such as customer service, accounting, finance, and data analysis. This is an opportunity available specifically for students returning to school in the fall.

You must be available to start work on short notice and intend on returning to school at the end of season. The earliest start date is April 15. Applications will be accepted through our careers page until February 20.

Part-time work

If you’re more interested in part time work, we’re in the process of recruiting for 311 Customer Service Representatives. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the City and gain experience in our workforce.
