NFL Training Camps 2024: Start Dates, Schedules and Locations Revealed
The NFL revealed the training camp report dates and locations for all 32 teams on Tuesday.
The Baltimore Ravens have the earliest start date, with rookies reporting on July 13. The rest of the teams will start coming together in the following days, with the Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers reporting the latest on July 24.
The back-to-back reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs will be bringing in their rookies on July 16, while Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the rest of the team’s veterans will report on July 20. The Chiefs are attempting to pull off the first three-peat in the Super Bowl era, so all eyes will be on them as they gear up for the 2024 campaign.
Some of the most intriguing storylines to watch during training camp will involve the performance of the talented class of rookie quarterbacks.
2024 No. 1 pick Caleb Williams was already named the starting quarterback for the Chicago Bears, so there will be a ton of eyes on him to see if he meets or exceeds expectations. Jayden Daniels also appears to be in the driver’s seat for the starting job with the Washington Commanders, and the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner will draw his fair share of attention.
New England Patriots signal-caller Drake Maye is sitting behind veteran Jacoby Brissett on the depth chart, but there were early indications that he could push for the starting job. J.J. McCarthy and Bo Nix are also involved in quarterback competitions with the Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos, respectively. Michael Penix Jr. won’t face the same expectations with the Atlanta Falcons, as he is locked into spending the year learning behind four-time Pro Bowler Kirk Cousins.
It all creates a fun summer in the NFL this year, as the new generation is starting to emerge and establish itself as the future of the league.
