NFL Kicker Accused of Sexual Assault on Team Flight
Two women are suing the Jacksonville Jaguars and its former player Brandon McManus, alleging that the kicker sexually assaulted them on a team flight to London last year. According to the lawsuit, obtained by ESPN, McManus rubbed himself against the two women and grinded against them during the flight, which “quickly turned into a party” when McManus and other players passed out $100 bills to flight attendants to have them drink and dance inappropriately. The women have also accused the Jaguars of failing to supervise McManus and create a safe environment for the staff members serving the team. They are seeking more than $1 million in damages and are demanding a jury trial. McManus now plays for the Washington Commanders, who said in a statement on Monday, “Earlier today, we were made aware of the civil lawsuit filed on May 24 against Brandon McManus. We take allegations of this nature very seriously and are looking into the matter. We have been in communication with the League Office and Brandon’s representation, and will reserve further comment at this time.”
