Newsboy’s racing tips for Wednesday’s five meetings, including Carlisle Nap

RED PIXIE can make the journey to Carlisle worthwhile for trainer Sir Michael Stoute by winning the Great Community Raceday Sat 6th July Fillies’ Handicap (5.15) over seven furlongs.

The daughter of Kingman makes her handicap debut after finishing in the frame in each of three promising runs in novice and maiden company.

The last of these was at Windsor over six furlongs 23 days ago, where she was only caught by Apeeling on the line by a neck.

The three-year-old steps back up in trip and looks the type to improve. William Buick is booked for the ride.

Earlier on the same card, course and distance winner GIBSIDE can continue his upward curve this term in an open-looking Stablemate By AGMA Cumberland Plate Handicap (3.05) over a mile and three furlongs.

The five-year-old stayed on well in the closing stages of a Class 3 event for female amateur jockeys at York 11 days ago, finishing a three-and-a-half-length third behind Lord Melbourne.

Previously, the Tim Easterby-trained son of Time Test was a length to the good in an 11-runner Catterick handicap over 1m 6f on similar good to firm ground.
