New, upgraded stores, floors, guest services at Orchard Park – Kelowna News

Several stores are reopening, the floors have been changed and guest services has moved as part of recent upgrades at Orchard Park Shopping Centre.

The new guest services desk opened Tuesday at its new location at the Springfield Entrance to Orchard Park after operating out of a kiosk near the main entrance facing Harvey Avenue for more than a decade.

“Starting with replacing our 1990s floor tiles and modernizing our guest services and community desks, Orchard Park is excited about embracing the future by offering customers a more vibrant and contemporary shopping experience,” said Catherine Whittingstall, regional manager operations, Orchard Park Shopping Centre.

“In 2024, new retailers have opened, and many of our longest-standing tenants are fully engaged in upgrading their stores. Altogether, these changes will encourage those who have recently moved to the Okanagan to discover Orchard Park while, at the same time, giving those who have lived in our beautiful community for many years the opportunity to rediscover Orchard Park.”

The new stores include Ogopogo Giftland, Ukrainian food outlet Ready to Cook as well as L’Occitane, Volcom, Studio 6 by BodyMods, Pita Pit and Best Buy Express.

Several stores are also reopening after major renovations. They include Bikini Village, Edo Japan, Opa, American Eagle, Quarks, Tip Top and Ben Moss.

The upgrades at the shopping centre launched in January 2023, with the start of work to replace 100,000 square feet of tile flooring. That was followed by design and construction of the Guest Services desk. New holiday decor will be unveiled later this year.

Owned by Primaris, Orchard Park is the largest retail destination between Vancouver and Calgary and has over 30 locally owned businesses. More than six million visitors pass through the doors every year.
