New UFC 303 fight card set after Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler cancelled

Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler won’t be headlining UFC 303, but International Fight Week still has the potential to end with a bang.

Following the announcement that McGregor has been forced out of the originally scheduled June 29 main event due to injury, it was announced that light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira will instead close the show with a title defense against rival Jiri Prochazka. Pereira defeated Prochazka at UFC 295 to claim a vacant 205-pound belt.

A new co-main event had to be found after Jamahal Hill withdrew from his fight against Carlos Ulberg due to a knee injury, and featherweight contenders Brian Ortega and Diego Lopes have stepped into that spot.

UFC CEO Dana White later shared an image of the updated lineup, which can be seen below.

Also on the main card, Ulberg now faces one-time light heavyweight title challenger Anthony Smith, top bantamweight title contender Mayra Bueno Silva fights Macy Chiasson, and welterweight standout Ian Machado Garry puts his undefeated record on the line against former Bellator star Michael “Venom” Page.

UFC 303 takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on June 29.
