New European-style food hall to open in historic Toronto building – NOW Toronto
There’s a new food hall opening in downtown Toronto this summer and it features a deliciously diverse range of foods from the city’s most favoured restaurants.
Poised to open next month, the Waterworks Food Hall is an exciting new dining space that is offering more than 20 different food vendors showcasing the city’s spectacular culinary scene.
The European-style food hall is situated in a massive 55,000 square-foot heritage building located at 499 Richmond Street West. The space was restored by Woodcliffe Landmark Properties in collaboration with architectural firms Diamond Schmitt, ERA Architects, and Steven Fong Architects.
Some of the food stalls visitors can expect are Aburi Sushi, Dave’s Genuine Deli, Soi Thaifoon, Taco Lupita and so many more.
Meanwhile, the famed Lee Restaurant from chef Susur Lee is open and available outside the market, as well as the SOBR Market, the city’s first non-alcoholic bottle shop.

Organizers say more vendors are expected to be announced in the coming days. The Waterworks Food Hall is set to open on July 3.
