NEC champion men’s tennis adds transfer – Binghamton University Athletics

VESTAL, N.Y. – Binghamton men’s tennis will add a newcomer for the 2024-25 season, head coach Nick Zieziula said on Friday. Six-foot sophomore right-hander Jonathan Arbittier (Mendham, N.J./Dallastown Area HS) joins a Bearcats program that is fresh off a championship season that carried the team to the NCAA tournament.

Arbittier was unbeaten in MAAC play for the Broncs this spring. He won four singles matches and three of them clinched victories for Rider, which advanced to the MAAC semifinals.

“Jonathan is a great addition to the team,” Zieziula said. “His growth from junior of high school to what he did this past season is truly remarkable and he’s not showing any signs of slowing down. Jonathan is committed to his growth on and off court and he has a ton of enthusiasm that is going to be a great asset to our program.”

Arbittier led his Dallastown Area High School team to county and district titles and the state semifinals as a senior No. 1 player. He was county singles and doubles champion, district singles runnerup and advanced to the state singles Round of 16. He also played a year of soccer at Dallastown.
