Natalie Portman leans on pals after Benjamin Millepied divorce

Natalie Portman recently sent a special shoutout to her friends following her divorce from Benjamin Millepied.

The 43-year-old actress took a moment to honour her supportive friends while celebrating her birthday in an Instagram post on Sunday, June 9.

Portman shared a carousel of photos featuring her pals on the social media giant alongside a caption that read: “This year, on my birthday, I want to celebrate my gratitude for my friends who lift me up again and again.”

Offering insight into various locations and events, including an afterparty at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival and the Dior Fall 2023-2024 show in Paris, the Closer alum was spotted posing with her friends.

This came after the actress suffered emotional distress amid her separation from her 47-year-old husband Millepied.

For the unversed, Portman filed for divorce after he was caught having an extramarital affair in May 2023.

The news was further confirmed to PEOPLE by her representative at the time.

The two first crossed paths on the set of Black Swan in 2009 after the choreographer was hired to train Natalie for the film.
