BEACH POINT (3.25 Salisbury, nap)
Scored nicely at Doncaster two runs ago before going down by a neck on turf at Lingfield last time out. He was unlucky not to come home first after being forced to race wide away from the favoured part of the track. The handicapper has been fair with a 2lb rise in the weights and this trip is right up his street with all ground coming the same.
ALIGN THE STARS (5.15 Thirsk, nb)
Yet to finish out of the frame in his six racecourse runs. This son of Sea The Stars finished like a train over the 1m3f trip so the extra furlong should be right up his street. He’s on the same mark and this looks a good chance to break his duck.
SHOWBOATED (5.40 Doncaster, treble).
He has looked an improved model since switching back to turf being beaten less than a length on his outings at Ayr and Redcar. Both those efforts were over this five-furlong trip on good ground which he should get again today.
