Monday works: Coffee in Bed, National Treasure lead 28 drills

National Treasure, most recently seen winning the Grade 1 Met Mile, continued his work toward an expected start in the Whitney (G1) on Aug. 3. The son of Quality Road, trained by Bob Baffert, worked five furlongs in 1:01.4 on Monday morning. In addition to the Met Mile, National Treasure has won two other Grade 1s, the Pegasus World Cup this year and the Preakness last year.
