Miami Dolphins Sign Five Players From 2024 NFL Draft Class

Today kicks off day one of the Miami Dolphins‘ mandatory minicamp, and to say that fans are not excited about what this upcoming season should bring would be an understatement.

But before the Dolphins take the field, General Manager Chris Grier and VP of Football Brandon Shore were busy signing a handful of Miami’s 2024 NFL Draft Class. According to the team, the Dolphins have signed the following five players:

2024 4TH-ROUND PICK (120) | RUNNING BACK | JAYLEN WRIGHT

2024 5TH-ROUND PICK (158) | EDGE | MOHAMMED KAMARA

2024 6TH-ROUND PICK (184) | WIDE RECEIVER | MALIK WASHINGTON

2024 6TH-ROUND PICK (198) | DEFENSIVE BACK | PATRICK McMORRIS

2024 7TH-ROUND PICK (241) | WIDE RECEIVER | TAHJ WASHINGTON

With mandatory minicamps starting today and a handful of rookie deals getting done throughout the league, it was expected that many of Miami’s draft class would be signed. After all, a lot of the guys listed above — outside of RB Jaylen Wright and maybe EDGE Mohammed Kamara and Malik Washington — are battling for a roster spot. Having them arrive at camp early to hit the ground running is in everyone’s best interest.

However, for those keeping track at home, not all rookies have been signed. As of writing this, the Dolphins still need to sign outside linebacker Chop Robinson and offensive lineman Patrick Paul. But in today’s world, where rookie contracts — for the most part — are capped based on where a player is selected, I don’t see why both deals wouldn’t get done sooner rather than later.

Speaking of Paul, the team posted this incredible picture from yesterday’s Media Day and I’m begging and pleading for him to become Miami’s left tackle of the future.

Happy Mandatory MiniCamp Day, Dolphins Fans! Have a great day
