Men’s Tennis Recognized by ITA in Year-End Rankings – University of California, Santa Barbara

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released their NCAA Division I Men’s Mid-Major and Regional Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point for June 7, 2024.

The Mid-Major Rankings include the Top-25 Teams while the Regional Rankings include the Top-10 Teams, Top-20 Singles, and Top-10 Doubles for every region. 

The Gauchos had good representation throughout the mid-major and regional rankings released on Friday, June 7. UC Santa Barbara was ranked No. 15 in the Top 25 Mid-Major Rankings and also slid in at No. 6 in the Southwest regional rankings beating out the likes of USC, UC Irvine, San Diego State and LMU.

Along with team recognition senior Pablo Masjuan was ranked as the sixth best singles player in the Southwest region. Junior, Gianluca Brunkow also made the Southwest Top-20 singles rankings being slotted at No. 18. Masjuan and Brunkow also received recognition on the Southwest Top-10 Doubles Rankings. The duo ends the year ranked No. 2 in the region only behind the partnership of Jacob Bullard and Murphy Cassone of Arizona State.
