Men’s Basketball Signs Mohamed Keita to 2024-25 Roster – Temple

PHILADELPHIA — The Temple men’s basketball program signed 7-foot, 1-inch center Mohamed Keita to its 2024-25 roster, head coach Adam Fisher announced.

“Mo comes from a great program and coach,” Fisher said. “His size and length on the defensive end will give us great rim protection. His ability to be a lob threat will be a great mixture with the guards we have assembled. We are looking forward to Mo joining the Temple family.

Keita joins the Owls after spending last season at Tulsa, where he averaged 1.1 points and 1.5 rebounds per game. Prior to Tulsa, the Conakry, Guinea native appeared in seven games as a true freshman for St. John’s. Keita has experience at the international level, competing for the Guinean Under-18 National Team at the 2018 FIBA U18 African Championships. He also played for the Guinean SLAC team in the NBA’s Basketball Africa League during the spring of 2022, where he tallied 6.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game.

“I chose Temple mainly because of the coaching staff and the relationship they have with the players,” Keita said. “Also, the opportunity for me to become the bet version of myself as a player and person.”
