Maverick Women’s Basketball Ranked Sixth in Attendance in NCAA Division II for 2023-24 Season – Minnesota State University – Mankato Athletics

MANKATO, Minn. — The Minnesota State women’s basketball team finished the 2023-24 season ranked sixth in attendance in NCAA Division II.

MSU, which went on to win its second NCAA Championship in team history behind a 32-5 record, averaged 1,151 fans per game at Taylor Center this past season. Northern State topped NCAA Division II with 2,375 fans per game.

The 2023-24 season saw the Mavericks go 11-1 in their 12 games at Taylor Center this season, including wins in their final 11 games at home. As a team, MSU averaged 86.3 points per game, while limiting its opponents to 59.1 points per game.

Highlights at home include a pair of 100-point performances against Wayne State (101-57) and Minnesota Crookston (123-61). MSU’s 123 points against Minnesota Crookston are the most scored in a game in team history. The Mavericks also clinched their second NSIC regular season championship with a 97-75 win over Augustana in front of 1,502 fans at Taylor Center.

MSU saw more than 1,000 fans attended nine of its final 10 games at home, including a season-best 1,892 during the Mavericks 80-57 win over MSU Moorhead on Jan. 27.
