Maintenance Firm to Create 150 Jobs with €5 Million Investment
Ground Control provides a variety of services related to exterior maintenance and energy solutions, such as pothole repairs, winter gritting, arboriculture, solar power, and the installation of charge stations for electric vehicles.
Currently, the company’s activities in the UK and Ireland employ 1,100 people.
The firm plans to open an office in Belfast and set up its Irish headquarters in Dublin. It will also be hiring for a number of positions around the island.
According to Ground Control, the company hopes to work with small and local firms, and the new positions will consist of a “blend of employees and local field-based teams.”
“In doing so, local partners will benefit from Ground Control’s in-house expertise, technology infrastructure, brand assets, and training resources to support their business growth,” the business stated.
“Our decision to launch the business in Ireland is an informed and strategic one, supported by the renewed commitment to sustainability on the part of both the Irish public and private sector,” Ground Control’s country director for Ireland Declan O’Gorman said.
“We are eager to commence our recruitment efforts and engagement with local Irish businesses as part of our commitment to growing our local footprint and empowering new talent from across the Island as we embark on this exciting journey.”
