Maddysun Beeching Joins EMU Women’s Golf – Eastern Michigan University Athletics

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University Head Women’s Golf Coach Josh Brewer continues to build his roster for the 2024-25 season with the addition of freshman Maddysun Beeching (Camberley, Surrey, England/Millfield School) today, June 24.

Ranked 1,026 on the European Golf Ranking with 633.49 EGR points, Beeching has secured several notable victories, including the 2024 European Schools Girls Scratch Championship and the 2024 Somerset Girls Scratch Championship at Somerset Schools. Her earlier achievements include winning the 2022 BB&O Junior Girls Scratch, the 2021 Millfield Championship, and the 2018 Foxhills Open in the handicap section. She qualified for the English U18s at just 14 years old and demonstrated her talent from a young age.

“Maddy is the type of person we want as we continue to build a winning culture,” Brewer said. “She loves to play tournaments and compete. Maddy and her family live and breathe golf. I want to thank Maddy and her family for believing that this is where she can reach her height in golf, and academics.”

She joins sophomore Savannah De Bock (Ecaussinnes-d’enghien, Belgium/Institut de l’Enfant-Jésus – Lycée/Georgia), senior Amaya Melendez  (Ann Arbor, Mich./ Pioneer), and freshman Mariana Vega (Barranquilla, Colombia/ Colegio Karl C. Parrish), who previously announced their commitments to EMU.
