Runway shows featuring the work of up-and-coming designers will be a highlight of next month’s Fashion Week in Kelowna.
The three-day event from July 12-14 aims to provide a platform for designers to showcase their work, connect with industry professionals, and engage with fashion enthusiasts.
“We are thrilled to bring this extraordinary fashion event to life,” Erikka Moojeslsky, of event organizer AesthetiK’s Lab, said in a release.
“The show is a celebration of art, culture, and the vibrant spirit of our community. We can’t wait to see the creativity that our designers will bring to the runway,” she said.
Events will be held at various venues, including the downtown library, the Artwalk next to the Rotary Centre for the Arts, and the Kelowna Art Gallery.
A curated selection of 20 Canadian designers, 10 of them local, will present their latest collections.
“The entire weekend promises to be a landmark event, highlighting the latest trends in fashion and pushing the boundaries of sustainability and style. Attendees will experience a blend of new fashion, upcycled and recycled fabrics, and artistic expression, all set against the backdrop of Kelowna’s vibrant cultural space,” a release states.
Tickets are available for individual events, ranging from $5 to attend a large clothing swap, to $333 for a full weekend VIP pass. For more information, see kelownafashionweekend.com
