Kayla Thompson Finishes In The Money In Golf Tournaments –

Bladen County’s professional golfer Kayla Thompson has had a successful spring golf tour in a pair of Women’s All Pro Tour events.

Thompson, on April 17-20, played in the Taco Bell Natchez Championship in Natchez, Mississippi, and shot 70-70-76-72=288 to win $520. She finished tied for 24th.

On May 7-10 she participated in the Oscar Williams Classic in Anna, Texas, and won $725 by shooting 73-76-70-78=297. She finished tied for 27th.

She will continue her trek to the Ladies’ PGA by playing in the Epson Tour’s Garden City Charity Classic on Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, Kansas this weekend (June 28-30) where the purse is $237,500.

Thompson graduated from West Bladen High School and UNC Wilmington and lives in Clarkton.
