Katie Holmes’ Unexpected Travel Outfit Features a Meghan Markle-Worn Style

Mother—a.k.a. actress and style icon Katie Holmes—has spoken: The time to break out your summer whites is finally here. Holmes, who is constantly on the go, recently stepped out on the streets of New York City wearing an outfit that’s given me endless inspiration for my summer trips. Her look included a leather and canvas tote bag, cap-toe-style flats that Meghan Markle is also a fan of, and the most surprising part, white flared jeans.

As someone with a closet full of coffee-stained clothes, traveling in anything white gives me pause; but, I have to admit that there’s something about white denim that’s so much chicer than the traditional blue, and well, Holmes is no stranger to controversial fashion choices.
