Kane and Tudor Earn All-American Recognition – Azusa Pacific University Athletics

Madison Kane was an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Singles All-American, and she also picked up Doubles All-American distinction alongside Miruna Tudor

Kane went 19-3 in her final season with the Cougars, all at the No. 1 position in the Cougars’ lineup. Kane not only won 19 matches this season, but she did so in dominant fashion, winning 15 times in straight-sets and shutting her opponents out by a 6-0 score in 15 sets she played. She also won four matches by 6-0 wins in consecutive sets. Kane was voted the PacWest Player of the Year.

As a duo, Kane and Tudor climbed all the way to the top of the ITA doubles national rankings, as they went 17-3 at No. 1. In 13 of the duo’s wins, they held opponents to three or fewer games won, and they beat nationally-ranked opponents on three occasions. 

From a career standpoint, Kane is now the program’s all-time leader in doubles winning percentage, as she finished at .878 with 72 victories in 82 matches played. She is also second all-time in total wins (134), and third all-time for doubles wins at No. 1 (53) and overall winning percentage (.788 – 134 wins over 170 total matches). Kane is also ranked top-10 in several other categories. Tudor leaves the program ranked second all-time in program history for overall winning percentage, as she won 72 times between singles and doubles in 84 total matches for a .857 winning percentage.
