Jordan Lee wins gold medal with USA Basketball U18 team – University of Texas Athletics

BUCARAMANGA, Colombia — Texas women’s basketball incoming freshman Jordan Lee earned a gold medal with the USA Basketball U18 team as they emerged victorious over Canada, 80-69, in the 2024 U18 Women’s AmeriCup on Sunday. 

Lee started every game for the U.S. team on their run to the gold medal. In the championship game Lee scored nine points and added six rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocked shots. Lee played 36:48 minutes in the final game. 

Lee knocked down a 3-pointer and assisted on a three-point play for Team USA as they built a 23-14 lead after the first quarter. Lee had key defensive plays including a blocked shot on a Canada 3-pointer in the third quarter to keep the U.S. on top. 

Lee scored a tournament best 10 points to go with two rebound, three assists and three steals in the quarterfinal win over the Dominican Republic. 

Lee, a McDonald’s All-American, will start her collegiate career with the Longhorns this year.
