Joel Embiid roasts the Bucks as Celtics on verge of NBA title
Jrue Holiday is one win away from capturing his second NBA title, this time with the Celtics, just three years after going the distance with the Bucks.
The defensive ace landed in Boston last year thanks largely to Milwaukee’s decision to trade him to Portland for Damian Lillard. Since the rebuilding Blazers had no requirement for an aging player, they made Holiday available via trade, causing the Celtics to jump on the opportunity and acquire him.
Essentially, Milwaukee’s acquisition of Lillard created the domino effect that ended with Boston as the ultimate beneficiary. Sixers star Joel Embiid made it a point to highlight Milwaukee’s blunder after the Celtics went up 3-0 in the NBA Finals on Wednesday night.
