Job postings in Parry Sound District decreased year-over-year  – My Parry Sound Now

The number of job postings in the Parry Sound District dropped significantly year-over-year in April.

The Labour Market Group reports 118 job postings in April. Officials say that’s nearly 30 per cent less than the 168 postings one year ago.

Almost 75 unique employers posted jobs in April, down five per cent from the previous month and 26 per cent less than April 2023.

The West Parry Sound Health Centre posted the most jobs, followed by the Near North District School Board and Parry Sound Sobeys.

Health Care & Social Assistance was the top hiring industry, followed by Retail Trade. Accommodation & Food Services rounds out the top three.
