JJ Redick reveals summer golf tear for the ages on SportsCenter with SVP
Memorial Day has come and gone and summer is finally upon us. Across the world, golf sickos are jockeying for tee times, making up “doctor’s appointments” and putting their marriages on the line. That includes former NBA sharpshooter and current ESPN announcer JJ Redick, who appeared on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt following the Celtics’ Eastern Conference Finals sweep of the Pacers on Monday night.
Asked if he planned to hit the links with the nine-day gap between now and the start of the NBA Finals, Redick revealed that his summer golf tear was already well underway.
“I had a pretty good week, I’m not gonna lie,” Redick told Van Pelt. “I played Camargo [Club] yesterday over in Cincinnati. It’s a top-25 Seth Raynor course. I played Crooked Stick this morning. I played my home course The Bridge on Friday. I’m getting it in no matter what, Scott!”
“A top-25 Seth Raynor course” is one of the most sicko quotes ever uttered on SportsCenter and we absolutely love it. Doris Burke, maybe not so much …
Anyway, we hope Redick keeps lining ‘em up and knocking ‘em down, because while the summer is young, it will be gone before you know it.
