Jennifer Lopez Wore This Breezy, Travel-Friendly Jeans-Alternative 4x in 1 Month

Jennifer Lopez loves her luxury items, such as Fendi sunglasses, Birkin bags, and Dior tops—but that doesn’t mean she shies away from more affordable brands that you and I shop from on a daily basis. Case in point, her Free People To the Sky Parachute Pants, which are perfect for summer. 

Back in 2023, the singer and actress reached for the jeans-alternative, wearing a laid-back two-piece set consisting of the $78 Free People Camden Sweatshirt. Last month, she brought the roomy bottoms back out, wearing the pants four times nearly back-to-back. Each time, she styled them with a cropped top and either $9 Havaianas flip flops or Allbirds Tree Flyer tennis shoes.

I have a feeling J.Lo hasn’t given the billowy bottoms a rest because of their ultra comfortable fit; look forward to a ruched waistband that sits low on the hips, tapered leg openings, and four pockets. Available in sizes XS to XL and seven colors—including light blue and sage—there’s a hue for everyone. 

Lopez isn’t alone in her love of parachute pants; Hailey Beiber, Katie Holmes, Selena Gomez, Emily Ratajkowski, and Rihanna have all given them their stamp of approval. Perhaps celebrities flock to loose bottoms because of how easy they are to style. Dress them up with heeled sandals and a tube top, or make them casual with white tennis shoes and a basic tee. Depending on how you style your new pants, they can be worn to picnics, dinners, museum tours, bike rides, and the list goes on.

The Lopez-worn pants are also perfect for summer travel. I own a similar pair and wore them on a five-hour flight with no issues; I was comfortable, feeling as if I had pajamas on. Once off of the plane, I continued to wear my parachute pants during my California trip, whether I was lounging at home or visiting friends. Plus, they make for a great swimwear cover-up.
