Ireland added 8,900 foreign multinational jobs in first half of year, down on 2023 – ETHRWorld

DUBLIN : Ireland secured 131 investments from foreign multinationals so far this year that are set to create 8,900 jobs, down from 12,000 a year ago and a record 18,000 added in the same period of 2022, the country’s inward investment agency said. Last year’s outturn had represented a return to pre-pandemic levels, when jobs averaged around 12,000 at the half-year mark. IDA Ireland said it secured this year’s investments “against an increasingly challenging global operating environment.”
