Rocco Becht is giving back this summer in a cool way.
The Iowa State football quarterback will host a free football camp on July 13 for fifth to eighth graders in the Perry Community School District, the We Will Collective announced Wednesday. The camp will be held at Perry High School, with Becht covering all expenses through his NIL earnings. Becht will also make a donation to the Perry Community Schools.
Several other current Cyclones will join Becht as camp counselors, with a focus on providing “technical and fundamental instruction to all campers in a fast-paced, collaborative and positive manner.”
“The state of Iowa and our community has given so much love to me and my family, and we wanted to find a way to give back,” Becht said in a release through the We Will collective. “Perry has gone through so much in the past year, and this was a small way to show support and provide a fun day for the kids in Perry.”
Sign-ups are still open, but exclusive to fifth through eighth graders from Perry schools. Anyone wishing to sign up can contact events@wewillcollective.com.

“This was entirely Rocco’s idea,” said Brent Blum, director of the We Will Collective. “We are honored to be able to help him make this a reality.”
The camp will occur barely six months after the tragic shooting at Perry High School, where 17-year-old Dylan Butler shot five students and three staff members on Jan. 4. A sixth-grader and principal Dan Marburger died as a result.
