Intel’s AI Art Exhibit Grabs Attention on Heels of Collision – Techcouver.com

Toronto has played host to the Collision conference since 2019 and has welcomed tens of thousands of tech entrepreneurs, investors, and journalists each year to the multi-day event. In May 2025 it’s being re-branded as Web Summit Vancouver and making its way to our city.

Many of the best company networking events are either linked subtly to the conference but held at offsite locations, or just happen to intersect with the conference dates.

One of the pleasing intersections this year is the Intel-sponsored AI exhibit being held at the Illuminarium in Toronto from June 20 to 27. AI was the dominating theme and topic at Collision this year. Free to the public, the exhibit provides an opportunity for Intel to feature its new Intel Core Ultra mobile processors for first-gen AI PCs. Intel has been long-time leader and innovator in the design and manufacture of semiconductors.

Asma Aziz, Intel Canada’s Marketing Director, noted the company is “excited to share how it’s influencing the arts. The Intel Encore AI Exhibit is a celebration of the synergy between human creativity and artificial intelligence.”

Nine new media artists were given the opportunity to explore using the Intel technology to produce art for the show. The artists showcase the product’s power with a living art gallery where each piece continuously evolves, primarily due to contributions from attendees. The main space is some 6,000 square feet with 20-foot-high ceilings and features projections on the walls and floors, as well as surround-sound.

Among the pieces is an installation that constantly creates new music on repeat that attendees can manipulate to produce a soundtrack for the gallery, as well as stations where showgoers can key in simple prompts to generate highly stylized and personalized art pieces generated through AI in real-time.

The exhibit is part of the company’s year-long campaign to launch Intel Core Ultra mobile processors for first-gen AI PCs. Consumer devices powered by the chip are displayed at the end of the exhibit with referrals to local retailers available to be arranged.

Look for exhibits like this one to make their way to Web Summit Vancouver in 2025 as companies continue to find ways to showcase their tech in creative and inspiring ways.
