“I suggest you shut the f*** up!” Ian Poulter unloads on golf heckler in explosive footage!
Ian Poulter ripped into a golf fan who reportedly heckled him multiple times during the final round of LIV Golf Houston, a viral video has shown on social media.
In an explosive video containing strong language that was posted on social media by @DBTTofficial, the European Ryder Cup hero is seen laying into a unruly golf fan as he trudges off a green and onto the back of a golf cart with his playing partner Brendan Steele.
It should be said Poulter, 48, ended up shooting a disappointing round of 79 to finish on 2-over par in T46 in the 57-man field.
That was still enough to pocket $124,000.
Poulter’s lacklustre final round featured two birdies, five bogeys and two double bogeys.
For added context, the original poster of the video tweeted: “The fan harassed Poulter on 2 separate occasions during the round to be clear which led him ultimately to react.”

As we join the video, Poulter turns to the fan and says: “Why don’t you f*** off? You were f***ing piping up on the 18th tee, so f*** off.”
“Alright?” Poulter adds, to which the fan responds: “Just relax!”
Poulter fires back with: “Shut the f*** up.”
And again. “I just suggest you shut the f*** up.”
As the golf cart wheels away, Poulter says from the back of the golf cart: “Next time he’s out.”

Poulter, who is the co-captain of Majesticks GC, has struggled for form on the LIV Golf League so far this season with just one top-10 finish (T8 Hong Kong) from eight events.
The Englishman failed to qualify for this week’s US Open and he will next be in action at LIV Golf Nashville from 21-23 June.
A total of 12 LIV Golf players are in action at the 2024 US Open.
It was 13 players on the eve of the tournament but $600m star signing Jon Rahm was forced to withdraw due to a foot infection.
Golf Channel analyst Paul McGinley ripped into Rahm earlier today for “not being the same competitor” since his move to LIV Golf.
