The French Open continues on Thursday with the mixed doubles championship and the women’s semifinals. The French Open semifinals will see Iga Swiatek take on Coco Gauff and Jasmine Paolini face Mirra Andreeva. Paolini and Andreeva both pulled off upset wins in the quarterfinals, beating Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka respectively. Along with the women’s semifinals, Thursday’s action also sees Neal Skupski in the mixed doubles final with Desirae Krawczyk against the duo of Laura Siegemund and Edouard Roger-Vasselin.

Two of the top three seeds have made it to the semifinals, along with 12th seed Jasmine Paolini, who upset fourth seed Elena Rybakina in the quarters and 17-year-old Mirra Andreeva, who shocked world No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka. World No. 1 Iga Swiatek will be aiming to defend her trophy as she bids to win the French Open for a fourth time.

The first women’s semifinal is a rematch of the 2022 French Open final between Swiatek and world No. 3 Coco Gauff. Swiatek won that contest in straight sets and has dominated the rivalry since, winning 10 of their 11 meetings, including their most recent clash in the semifinals of the Italian Open last month.

Both Paolini and Andreeva will be competing in their first Grand Slam semifinal with the chance to face either Swiatek or Gauff in the final. Andreeva beat Paolini in their only previous meeting on clay in Madrid in April.

No. 4 seed Desirae Krawczyk and Neal Skupski and No. 2 seed Laura Siegemund and Edouard Roger-Vasselin play for the mixed doubles championship.
