HOAX: This poster advertising jobs at Equity Bank Uganda is a sham
This poster on Facebook advertising jobs at Equity Bank Uganda is a HOAX.
According to the advert, the financial institution seeks to fill positions for, among others, loan assistant, customer service representative, data entry clerk, financial accountant, junior legal officer, credit analyst, intern, and driver.
Job seekers are required apply via email address equitygroup.holdings@outlook.com by 1 June 2024.
The same poster has also been shared here and here.
However, the poster has several red flags.
Firstly, Equity Bank uses email addresses that end with the suffix @equitybank.co.ug., according to its website.
Equity Bank Uganda warned on its Facebook channel that the job advert was fake.
Secondly, the lender’s careers page does not feature any of the jobs advertised in the poster.
PesaCheck has looked into a poster circulating on Facebook advertising several jobs at Equity Bank Uganda and finds it to be a HOAX.
