A 24-year-old is facing serious charges after a hit and run over the weekend in Belleville.
Around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, city police were called to a parking lot on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road.
Officers located a 23-year-old man who had been struck by a vehicle and had suffered obvious trauma.
The suspect vehicle had fled the area and the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The suspect returned to the scene shortly after police arrival.
Police learned the driver intentionally drove and hit the pedestrian.
24-year-old Raminder Singh Padda of Belleville has been charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm and failing to stop at an accident causing bodily harm.
He has a court date in August.
