Girls basketball players hit court for Sanford combine
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Dozens of the top girls high school basketball players gathered at the Sanford Pentagon Monday afternoon.
They participated in the Sanford Who’s Next Combine. The players participated in a variety of competitions and showed off their skills for area college coaches. More than 40 girls, ranging from freshmen to seniors, were in attendance.
Since we are months removed from the high school season, this four-hour camp provided the players a unique opportunity.
“You don’t get very many opportunities,” O’Gorman rising junior Sadie Mehrman said. “So just being able to showcase your skills and compete against other really solid talent in the area is cool.”
Sanford Sports also hosted a boys basketball combine Sunday afternoon.
