With just a few days to go until the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is released, FromSoftware very recently confirmed plenty of new features ahead of its release. These include a new inventory management system, which had been previously revealed in previews, though new hairstyles and Summoning Pool features have also been set out too.
The official Elden Ring Twitter / X account shared images and information on new Summoning Pool features that include:
- Active Summoning Pools that will now carry forward over to NG+
- Individual Summoning Pools that can now be enabled and disabled in the newly added map functions menu (Only active Summoning Pools will be selected when using the Small Golden Effigy.)
To add to all of the above, there are also five new hairstyles to be introduced. While you can select them through the Character Creation menu, you will also be able to retroactively modify your character’s appearance using the Clouded Mirror Stand or Rennala’s Rebirth feature.
As mentioned above, there is also a newly implemented inventory management system, though previews of the game had already laid this new feature out in-depth.
FromSoftware have also stated that even more features will be included in the same update, which will be arriving on June 20th.
This means that the Elden Ring DLC will arrive with a day one patch, and server maintenance will see the game go offline between the hours of 07:00 to 10:00 UTC on June 20th.
