Foster Named Alabama’s Second All-Time Men’s Tennis CSC Academic All-America – Alabama Athletics
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– Alabama’s Zach Foster was named a College Sports Communicators’ Academic All-America honoree, becoming just the second player in Crimson Tide men’s tennis history to receive the award.
Foster was named to the third team after the junior earned a 4.00 GPA as a double major in finance and economics. His historic achievement joins Saketh Myneni, who captured the program’s first honor after being named a 2010 Academic All-America At-Large Third Team selection.
Zach Foster, CSC Academic All-American
- Finished the season ranked 50th in doubles
- Maintained a national doubles ranking since the beginning of April, achieving a season high of No. 38 nationally
- Was ranked inside the top-56 nationally in doubles during the entirety of that span
- Concluded the season on a four-match winning streak in singles, including capturing the Tide’s deciding point in its First Round NCAA Tournament match against Charlotte (May 3 | W, 4-1)
- Victory against Charlotte’s Ivan Dreycopp was a three-set, come-from-behind win to secure UA’s 10th all-time appearance in the second round of the tournament
- Recorded 14 doubles victories during the year with 11 victories occurring in dual matches
- Additionally, posted nine singles wins with eight wins in dual matches
- Was named a CSC Academic All-District selection in 2023and 2024
- Two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete
- Double major in finance and economics
