Former Raiders player a person of interest in missing son investigation | Sporting News
Former Raiders defensive tackle Daniel Muir has been named a person of interest in the investigation concerning his missing son, who has not been seen in two weeks.
According to FOX59, Muir’s son, Bryson, was last seen by someone other than his parents on June 16, when he left his grandmother’s home with his mother, Kristen, outside of Cleveland, Ohio.
After leaving the home, Bryson’s grandmother reported to police that the child had a black eye and was a possible victim of abuse. Bryson’s mother was pulled over just minutes after leaving the home, but the child was not in the car.
Here are more details, per the report:
Indiana State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Bryson Muir, a 14-year-old boy last seen 12 days ago who may be the victim of abuse by his parents. Bryson is the son of former Colts defensive lineman Daniel Muir, who is now a person of interest in the investigation.
Bryson was last seen by non-parental family members on June 16 after leaving his grandmother’s home outside Cleveland, Ohio with his mother, Kristen Muir, in a white 2015 Chevrolet Suburban.
The child’s grandmother reported to police that the child had a black eye and might be being abused by his parents.
Indiana State Police Capt. Ron Galaviz said it was just minutes between when the son and mother left the home and when local police pulled over her Suburban.
However, officers said Bryson was not found inside the car with his mother.
Police were unable to get in contact with Bryson’s parents up until Thursday, June 27, but both are “beginning to cooperate” with the investigation, although they previously “backed out” of an agreement to bring Bryson in to speak with authorities.
A Silver Alert was issued on Friday for the 6-foot-2, 185-pound teenager, who has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing an orange Under Armor shirt and blue jeans.
Muir signed with the Raiders in 2013 and appeared in 10 games during his lone season with the franchise.
