With the change of venue, Saturday’s Belmont  Stakes will be shortened to 1.25 miles instead of its customary 1.50.

There are 10 horses entered in all, and Kentucky Derby runner-up Sierra Leone, has opened as the favorite with 9-5 morning line odds.

Trainer Todd Pletcher’s colt Mainframe is right behind at 7-2.

Then we get to the winners of the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, respectively, in Mystik Dan (5-1) and Seize the Grey (8-1). It’s the first time since 2013 that separate Kentucky Derby and Preakness winners are scheduled to run the Belmont.

Seize the Grey, trained by D. Wayne Lukas, will start from the No. 1 post and is attempting to become the first horse since Afleet Alex in 2005 to win both the Preakness and Belmont Stakes after failing to win the Kentucky Derby.

Of the remaining six entrants, Resilience (10-1) is the only other horse with 11-1 or better morning line odds.

Belmont’s longer shots are Antiquarian (12-1), Honor Marie (12-1), Dornoch (15-1), The Wine Steward (15-1) and Protective (20-1).
