The Edmonton Oilers fan who went viral for flashing her boobs at an NHL game has revealed she thought she managed to bury the video before it went viral.
After days of silence, ‘Kate’ came forward and spoke to the Spittin’ Chiclets hockey podcast on her whirlwind 15 minutes of fame. She was filmed flashing the camera when celebrating the Oilers win over Dallas Stars in Game 5 in the Western Conference finals on May 31.
The clip went viral, porn sites tried to find her and offer her work, and yet she remained ‘the most mysterious woman in hockey’, as the podcast described her, before finally getting her on the show.
At first Kate, who is 34, seemed reluctant to unmask herself, wearing sunglasses and a cap at the start of her appearance, before elaborating on her unwanted fame.
‘I’m still trying to be in the witness relocation program a little bit here,’ she joked. ‘It wasn’t planned or anything, it just kind of happened.
The viral Edmonton Oilers fan who went viral for flashing her boobs at a game goes by ‘Kate’, according to a Barstool Sports podcast that she appeared on Monday
‘It was like that night and I was on Twitter (that she first saw the video). And I got it removed, I reported it.
‘I was like “ok, it is gone, we dealt with it” and then it came back with a vengeance. It was not someone I was with (who posted it).’
In the days before she appeared on the podcast, Kate had deleted all of her social media accounts in order to hide her identity as the video was viewed millions of times across social media.
She said that her work colleagues – at an oilfield in Canada – ‘definitely know’ it is her in the footage.
‘Only people I’ve actually known have said something,’ she added, before revealing that she feels overwhelmed by people saying that she can inspire the team to overturn the 2-0 Stanley Cup series deficit to Florida Panthers.
‘Honestly, last night when they lost the game I was going to get in my truck and just like, drive to the bush and build a little shack out of f***ing sticks and live in it after seeing everyone like, “Ah we need her”.
‘I don’t understand how they need me. But apparently I made myself this person and now I don’t know what to do about it. I am in no position to be motivationally speaking to anybody.’

She added that people at her work on an oilfield recognize her from the video, filmed May 31
The Oilers are 2-0 down to the Panthers but host the next two games in the series against at Rodgers Place in Edmonton. Game 3 is Thursday night and Game 4 is Saturday.
Kate said she doesn’t have tickets to go, but the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast invited her to join them for one of the games later this week.
‘It definitely sounds like an interesting opportunity,’ she said. ‘I can see with work what this week is supposed to be like.’
