Early morning shooting sends 1 to hospital, says Ottawa police


Ottawa police say that a person is in stable condition in hospital after a shooting on Saturday morning east of the downtown core.

OPS says officers responded to the 100 block of Besserer Street at 2:36 a.m. on Saturday to a disturbance call.

Police arrived on scene and found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to hospital and is listed in stable condition.

As of 9 a.m., officers were on scene as the investigation is ongoing.
