Co. Innovation Centre Officially Open

Some fanfare this morning as the Co. Innovation Centre – the province’s new innovation hub – was officially opened in St. John’s.

Programming at the facility will focus on encouraging collaboration and technology growth in the province.

President of COIC, Meagan Kay-Fowlow calls it a “world-leading facility.”

CEO of Tech NL Florian Villaumé says the local tech industry has a lot to be proud of.

“Newfoundland and Labrador boasts many successful tech companies including Verafin, Kraken, Genoa, CoLab, Mysa, SiftMed, Virtual Marine, Avalon Holographic and Spellbook.” Not to mention supportive organizations like Genesis and the Launch among others.
