Chelsea in line for Potter reunion as ‘contact made’ over Premier League return
Former Chelsea boss Graham Potter could be set for a return to the Premier League that could set up a reunion with the Blues.
Potter left Stamford Bridge in April last year after just seven months as Chelsea manager. He was eventually replaced by Mauricio Pochettino, who recently left the Blues by mutual consent to be replaced by Enzo Maresca.
With Chelsea moving to appoint Maresca as their new manager, it means that there is a vacancy at Leicester City that Potter could now fill.
Maresca guided the Foxes to promotion to the Premier League and won the Championship title in his only season at the King Power Stadium. Now Leicester are searching for his replacement, with a report claiming that they may be edging closer to an appointment.
According to The Telegraph, Potter has been identified by Leicester as their ideal candidate to be their next manager.

The report states that Leicester have made an approach to Potter’s representatives in their first attempt to see if the former Chelsea boss would take the job at the Foxes.
However, it has been stated that it’s not yet certain if Potter will be willing to take the job at Leicester, with West Brom manager Carlos Corberan also identified as a possible candidate.
Should Potter take the job at Leicester, he would face the prospect of a reunion with Chelsea. The Premier League season will get underway this August, with the full fixture schedule set to be announced later this month.
It remains to be seen when Chelsea will be handed fixtures against Leicester home and away. When that happens, it will also be a reunion for Maresca when he takes charge of the Blues against his former club.
