Introduction to C&F Travel Insured

Crum and Forster is an insurance company that provides a wide array of corporate insurance products covering property, casualty, accident, and health. It also offers travel insurance under the name Travel Insured International. Included among our guide on the best international travel insurance, C&F Travel Insured offers comprehensive coverage with unique add-ons that distinguishes itself from many of the best travel insurance companies

While policies aren’t particularly low-cost for most single travelers, they’re exceedingly cheap for families traveling with kids as kids are heavily discounted under the Protector Edge plan and completely free under the Protector plan.

C&F Travel Insured also has an annual multi-trip policy which has an optional cancel for any reason upgrade. It’s noteworthy since most annual plans don’t offer CFAR upgrades. It also offers medical emergency coverage for pre-existing conditions, which is also uncommon among annual plans.

Types of Policies Offered by C&F Travel Insured

C&F Travel Insured offers two coverage options: Worldwide Trip Protector and Worldwide Trip Protector Edge.

With this travel insurance agency, you’ll find an a la carte of coverage options and optional policy add-ons like “cancel for any reason” (CFAR) and “interrupt for any reason” (IFAR) coverage.

You’ll find a comprehensive list of features included in each policy below:

C&F Travel Insured International Annual Multi-trip Protector

C&F Travel Insured’s annual plan covers all trips under 45 days taken within a year. This policy is only available to travelers under 80.

C&F Travel Insured International vs Credit Card Travel Insurance

Buying insurance through a travel insurance company like C&F Travel Insured is one of many ways to get coverage. However, travel insurance may also be a perk included in your credit card. It’s essential to check if any of your credit cards offer travel insurance and if the coverage is sufficient to meet your needs.

A separate travel insurance policy can help you fill gaps in your credit card’s travel insurance coverage. For instance, many credit cards offer trip cancellation and interruption coverage but not medical coverage. C&F Travel Insured’s Travel Medical Protector plan may be a good addition if you only need to add medical-related coverage.
